AdvancePay
Designing a clearer digital lending experience
AdvancePay lets people draw down wages they've already earned instead of waiting for payday. You sign up, connect a bank account and cash out in minutes, and every fee is shown before you commit.

The Problem
Earned-wage-access products sit in the same category as payday loans, which are known for hidden fees, shame and friction. So the work went beyond the interface. Before committing to anything, a user had to be able to see what they owe, what it costs and when it's due.
What I did for AdvancePay
I designed the whole AdvancePay flow, from sign-up to cash-out. Bank and employment verification (real, not mocked) is split into four labelled steps the user can see. Every fee is itemised before they commit, and the withdrawal screen uses a deliberate slide-to-confirm. I delivered it as a componentised iOS design system with loading, error and empty states specced, so the client's engineers could build from one shared spec instead of interpreting one-off screens.
The Outcome
A ready-to-build iOS design system of more than 40 screens, built around nine core screens and handed off to engineering. There's no usage data yet, so I haven't quoted any conversion or completion numbers.
